The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William Klos can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Many Memories

Mr. Klos (never could get the hang of calling him just Bill when I produced plays for him in Tillsonburg) was easily one of the most influential teachers I ever had. He drilled good grammar into us (I have a constant fight with people who misuse who/whom) and highlighted the finer points of literature and good writing. Although he had a dry wit, he rarely laughed uproariously until one day, in a discussion of Macbeth, he suddenly asked me why I would think Lady Macbeth was in a hurry to leave the castle. In my panic at being put on the spot, I hastily replied, "Well, people might think she was having an affair with someone." The memory of him laughing until he cried has stayed with me forever.
