Pre-Planning Options

We at Henry Walser Funeral Home are proud that we are a family owned funeral home. We are not commissioned nor take royalties from other local businesses. We like to reach out to other private and local businesses when the opportunity arises.

OPTIONS WITH PRE PLANNING

1. FUNERAL PREARRANGEMENT – This is when one would share their wishes and we record this information and keep on file. The estate or family would pay the future funeral expenses at the time of death. Please contact us for further details.

2. PREPAID FUNERAL- This is when one would share their wishes as above and choose to pay for their services in advance. The legislation states that the funds must be trusted and held there until the death occurs. These funds would be used to pay for the services and products that were prearranged, therefore saving the estate the funeral expense and only leaving the disbursements to be paid at the time of death. Please contact us for further details.

ANY PREARRANGEMENT OR PREPAID FUNERAL IS TRANSFERABLE OR MAY BE CANCELLED

3. TRAVEL PLAN OPTIONS- Many families travel around the world on holidays, to visit family or even to work. The travel plan is a reasonable onetime payment insurance policy that ensures that you would be taken care of in the place of death and brought home safely when the death occurs over 100 kms from home. If the death occurs at home, there is no refund. Please contact us for further details.

DISPOSITION OPTIONS

We at Henry Walser Funeral Home work closely with our local cemeteries and crematoriums. Families need to go to the cemetery to choose the property they wish to use. The funeral home will then organize the burial date. Burial or cremation are the two forms of disposition. The cemetery of your choice will show you the options and areas within the cemetery that you can choose from. Families may take cremated remains home or scatter on private property (with permission from owner) or Crown land. Scattering on Public property is not legal.
