Life mentor

Mr Klos, I never could call him Bill, was a mentor to me not only as a student but after graduation during a particularly difficult time in my life. I had stayed in touch through a brief stint with the alumni drama group. I wasn't in a very good place and felt like I couldn't move forward in my life until I dealt with what then seemed an impossible personal situation. I don't know how we got talking at first but I knew he was someone I could trust so I told him about it. I thought that first conversation would be it, that just telling someone would help, and it did, but he suggested we talk again later. Over the course of I forget how long he helped me not only feel better about my situation but to come up with a plan to move forward with my life. I know it was a challenge for him, I was a challenge for him, at times, but he kept mentoring me regardless. He never wavered from his values as a Catholic educator but never told me what I should do, only how I should do it, with honesty, compassion, and consideration for others. His mentorship helped set my life in a much better direction, I'm a better man today for having known him. My deepest condolences to his circle of loved ones
