Elizabeth (Kaufman) Payne

Thanks to Bill in so many ways. He inspired my brother John Kaufman to follow in his footsteps , mentoring along the way. He enriched our meals at our home and cottage with his wit and erudite observances. He accepted the romance and eventual marriage to Nancy Wunder ignited during the Production of Camelot. My mother Gen grew in confidence as he nurtured her in an executive role with the Mothers’ Guild. At John’s untimely death he lent support and strength to our whole Family. We will be forever grateful .
