Bereaved Families of Ontario – Midwestern Region (BFO-MR) offers peer grief support & memorial events to individuals, parents, children & families in Waterloo Region & Wellington County. We offer 8-week closed peer support groups for parents grieving the death of an infant and parents grieving the death of a child (including adult children). Our 6-week Healing Little Hearts program is for 4-7 and 8-12 year olds, as well as their caregivers. Our Living with Loss program is an open, ongoing peer support group for adults grieving the death of a loved one. Living with Loss meets twice a month in Kitchener & Cambridge and once a month in Guelph & Mount Forest. We also offer a Living with Loss group specifically for adults grieving the death of a loved one from substance use. All of our programs are offered for free.
The two memorial events we host each year are the Butterfly Release in September and the Tree of Bright Stars in November.

- The Rainbow Bereavement Support Group is a safe and inclusive Bereavement Support Group specifically designed for LGBT2SQ folks and the people we love. This group focuses on ALL LGBT2SQ care givers, spouses, family and friends who have experienced the loss of someone close to them.
- The Hospice Waterloo Region offers specialized group and individual counselling to members of the LGBT2SQ community who are providing care to someone living with a life shortening diagnosis, specialized end of life counselling and bereavement support to those who have experienced the death of someone close to them.
• Indigenous Loss Support Group
- The Indigenous Grief and Loss Circle is culturally appropriate. It is a sacred space that offers comfort and support for those grieving and suffering from loss in the Indigenous community. This group draws on the sacred medicines, songs and prayers.

Located in Kitchener, we are a community based, not for profit organization dedicated to helping seniors maintain individual health and wellness, a higher quality of life and self-esteem through a variety of group programs and activities offered at our warm and inviting facility. Your donations and support are instrumental in helping us achieve our mission to promote wellness and dignity to seniors with physical, cognitive and mental health challenges through the provision of activities, socialization, nutrition and quality care.
KW Counselling Services is a multi-service agency offering counselling supports to individuals, couples and families in the Waterloo Region since 1950. Our services are offered on a sliding scale based on income and no one is turned away based on an inability to pay for service. We offer both in-person, and online video counselling. Each Thursday we have a Walk In Counselling Clinic from 12-6pm. Anyone can drop in during those hours and see a counsellor that day. Some of our specialties include working with LGBTQ2+ people, members of multicultural communities, and older adults and their families. The Coping Centre
COPING (Caring for Other People in Grief) is a registered, non profit, charitable organization, offering help and encouragement to those who have experienced grief or loss at no cost to participants.
Situated on the banks of the Grand River in Cambridge, The Coping Centre has become a safe haven for thousands of grieving families and the people who counsel them by offering spring and fall specialized support groups for kids from 5 and up, teens, young adults, ladies, mixed loss, bereaved parents, and those who have lost by suicide. Coping is also available year round to connect grieving people to qualified counselors who specialize in helping those who are dealing with loss. In addition, Coping also hosts retreats, education seminars and even a summer adventure camp for children who have lost loved ones.
