The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Rich Reidel can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Vancouver

When I first moved to Vancouver having never been there before, Rich picked me up and took me for breakfast at his favourite diner, complete with tin toys, collectables and full 50's diner theme. I would return to that diner many times during my time in Vancouver. He was always open hearted and helpful whenever he could be. Including when I needed to borrow the old faithful Chevrolet Celebrity station wagon for a film I was making in film school and he drove it out from Burnaby. In recent years Rich was able to visit the cottage at Pike Bay and despite my efforts to tell him to just relax and enjoy he always had some tasks he would do to help improve the place. His kindness will be missed.
