Hiking on the Wapta ice fields. About 80F that day. Rex has his shirt off, Rich Reidel and Wayne Grams in the distance. We were all roped together in case one of us steps into an unseen crevasse.

Rich Reidel taking an awful chance hiking along this sharp ridge of wind packed snow. If he slips to his left, down he slides about 50 ft. If he slips to his right, it will be a lot longer fall. It won't hurt till he hits the bottom!

Rich was a Hot air balloon pilot for a while. I was lucky enough, along with Wayne, to have a ride over the then half finished West Edmonton Mall. Early 1980s.
