Doug was a lot more than a brother-in -law to me. I was about 10 years old when Shirley started to date Doug.I thought wow he is so handsome andhe dress in the finest clothes nad the latest styles always. I have a million memories but one that I'll never forget was our trip to St John's the BIG CITY.Himself and Shirley were going out east for the Easter break. Doug came to our house so excited to tell myself Pat andMaureen they were taking us with them . We were so excited but looking back I believe Doug was even more so. It was along drive and Doug continued to tell us all we'd see and do. he took us to all the attractions and one night took us to A&W and back then in the 60's they served you in your car . We girls form a little town and hadn't sen much were in AWe . But the biggest thrill was for him because he got so much pleasure out of doing that for us. A better brother-in -law we won't find anywhere. Love You Doug. May you rest in pease. Love Paula
