Higdon, Eric Douglas:
Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family, at St. Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, December 29th, 2015 at the age of 66.
Beloved husband of Shirley for 44 years. Loving father of Lori Dawson and her husband Lloyd, and Paul and his wife Diana. Cherished Poppy of Ryan and Emma Dawson and Charlotte and Frances Higdon. Survived by his sisters, Audrey Hackshaw (Cecil), Greta Page (Don), and his brother Mervyn Higdon (Yvonne), sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law Flo Higdon, Joan Collins (Derm) Judy Kennedy (Don), Lib Moore (Mobe), Pat Fredericks, Paula Peterson (Roy), Maureen Fillier (Andy), and Brian Lane. Predeceased by his parents Hayward and Fanny Higdon, brothers Don Higdon (Pearl), Norm Higdon, parents-in-law Angus and Rose Lane, and brothers-in-law Reg Caines and Art Fredericks. Doug will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews as well as extended family and friends.
Doug's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm on Friday, January 1st, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, with prayers at 2:00pm. Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament RC Church 305 Laurentian Dr. Kitchener, Ontario N2E 2N6 on Saturday, January 2nd, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
