The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Phyllis Mawson can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

My mom was a spitfire. She was one of the smartest people I've ever known. She loved her job because she got to be a detective, every day, and she was always outsmarting clients who were trying to pull a fast one. She loved her family dearly. She was determined to get better so she could spend more time with her grandkids, meet the newest baby, see Katie's wedding. She, more than anyone, would have understood how hard it is to sum up someone's life in a paragraph. She didn't like speeches, but whenever she gave one at a family wedding, she was the star of the show. Mom, I love you and wish I could have been there with you that last day. I'm glad you are finally able to feel the peace you deserve.
