Mawson, Phyllis:
Surrounded by family, she passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 66.
Wife and best friend to Ernie. Mother of Jackie, Indigo, Jill, Sam, Katie. Stepmother to David, John, Daniel, and Thomas. Proud grandmother of Liam, Nathan, Lyla, Damian, and Baby Reaume. Sister to Pat, Eunice, Nancy, Brenda, Heather, Steve, and Scott.
Phyllis Mawson, lover of pink cardigans, music, dogs, and Christmas. Strong, independent, smart as a whip, and the funniest woman we ever knew. She was not to be trifled with, and had no time for fools. Luckily, she didn’t raise any. She survived much, loved hard, and laughed often. She left us too soon, but she was never one to do as she was told. We will miss her.
Cremation has taken place.
Phyllis's family will receive relatives and friends from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Attendees are encouraged to wear bright pink.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Pancreatic Cancer Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards are available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Phyllis's memorial.
