Susan, Alan and family My sincere regrets on your loss of Irene. We were blessed to have had Irene in our lives! I have known Irene and Ian since they started bowling here, but I have been close to Irene for nearly 20 years as we umpired together since I joined the Heritage Greens in about 1999. Irene was a dedicated and competent lawn bowling umpire whose decisions were respected and gratefully accepted. I cherish every opportunity I had to work and be associated with Irene. Irene also contributed to the success of our club in so may other ways and was always willing to take on another task. I visited Irene twice at the hospice and despite her challenges, she remained the same up beat Irene, wanting to know what was going on with umpiring and at the club. We will miss Irene, but we will never forget her and she will always be with us on the greens!
