The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Irene Watt can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to the Watt family.

Irene (or Mrs. Watt, as I will always know her) was my piano teacher for over a decade. Her wonderful tutelage, patience and humour was fundamental in making possible my career as a professional musician and faculty member at the Royal Conservatory of Music and York University.

I will always be grateful to her for passing on to me her love of music and for setting such a fine example for me and so many others to follow.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to Irene's family.
We enjoyed being her neighbours at Lexington Grande, so sorry we did not have more time with her. We had some happy times with Scottish tunes with the flute and piano.

My sincere regrets on your loss of Irene. We were blessed to have had Irene in our lives!

I have known Irene and Ian since they started bowling here, but I have been close to Irene for nearly 20 years as we umpired together since I joined the Heritage Greens in about 1999.

Irene was a dedicated and competent lawn bowling umpire whose decisions were respected and gratefully accepted. I cherish every opportunity I had to work and be associated with Irene. Irene also contributed to the success of our club in so may other ways and was always willing to take on another task.

I visited Irene twice at the hospice and despite her challenges, she remained the same up beat Irene, wanting to know what was going on with umpiring and at the club.

We will miss Irene, but we will never forget her and she will always be with us on the greens!

Condolence: We had the opportunity to meet Irene on our Ireland-Scotland and London vacation just last year. How nice that she got to go back to Scotland once last time! I can only echo what everyone else has said--her fun loving spirit and so full of life--it was an honor to vacation with her. A great role model for all. She spoke highly of all of her family and I know that her spirit lives on in all of you. May all your wonderful memories carry you through day to day..

With our deepest sympathy, Sharon & Rich

Condolence: Dear Susan & Family,

I am so saddened on learning about the loss of your wonderful Mom. I'm very sorry that time and circumstances kept me from seeing Irene and Ian after so many years. I certainly have kept up with pictures and posts by many of the family lately. Please, accept my deepest regrets and condolences at this time. "RIP Irene as you reunite with your loving mate, Ian!"

Sincerely;

Ryan xo
