My Canadian Friend

I am so sad today because I just found out this morning that my Canadian friend, Stephen, passed away earlier this year. After we met while vacationing in Arizona, we continued a transcontinental friendship of many years which included hockey games at both Staples Center and Arizona Gila River Arena, Country music festivals and concerts (including the famous CMA Festival) and Marriott vacation club vacations. I was thrilled when he purchased his winter home in Mesa, Arizona and enjoyed his company during the months he spent there. Stephen, you were always so kind, caring, helpful, and incredibly funny! It is hard for me to believe that I will never see your face on this earth again, but I am comforted by the knowledge that you are in a place where you can be at peace. I miss you Stephen. My condolences to your dad and Jackie, Steve, Nancy, Mike and Julia, and all the other family members who were so special to Stephen. With love and honour, Denise
