Obituary for Jan Ovcacik

Jan Ovcacik
Ovcacik, Jan:

Jan, Deda, John, Tatinek - Beloved Czech son, brother, devoted husband of 54 years, loving father to 2 sons, adoring grandfather of 3 and dear friend of many.
You were always such a loving and friendly soul, who believed in living simply and enjoyed making those around you laugh. You showed us how to live a life of faith. We were so truly blessed to have such a devoted father in our lives.
While your passing will leave a huge hole in all of us, we are comforted in knowing that your spirit is finally free from your failing body and you are now reunited with Drahomira, your beloved wife. We are eternally grateful for all the good that you have nurtured in us. And we celebrate because we are confident that you are among the angels in God’s kingdom.

Jan's family will receive relatives and friends from 5 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A private family service will be held on Thursday, March 18 at 10 a.m. Extended family and friends are invited to view Jan's service at that time at https://www.henrywalser.com/live-streaming.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary's RC Church at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society (http://support.cancer.ca/goto/JanOvcacik) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
