Oma's baking
It's no secret that Oma was the best baker. From cookies, to bread, to strudel and shortcake, she could do it all, like no other. A few nights ago I attempted Oma's banana bread through the recipe book that she created for me. It was my first time baking it without her, and although it wasn't nearly as good as hers, it did bring a sense of comfort and a lot of great memories. Thank you Oma for teaching us about all of your treats and tricks, I love you and miss you so much.
