Obituary for George Thomas Wilson

Wilson, George Thomas Jr.:
George passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, August 4th, 2019 at St. Mary's General Hospital.
George was born 49 years ago, son of the late George Aaron Wilson and Joyce Isabel Battin.
Beloved and passionately devoted husband of Simone Wilson. Devoted and loving father of Julia Wilson and Jordan Wilson. Cherished baby brother of Steven (Darlene), Sherrilee, Shellilyn, and Peggy Sue. Dearly missed uncle of Theresa (Mike), Laura (Dave), Rob (Jordan), Shannon Leigh, Melody, Joy, Holly and great uncle of Nick, Devon, Luke and Ryan.
George was a 31 year employee for the City of Kitchener. He was highly valued, respected and a witty pleasure to have as an employee and co-worker. His most indescribable delight in his life was his family and they meant more to him than words can begin to describe. George was looking forward to teaching Jordan how to golf, watching his daughter Julia graduate university and taking his beautiful Simone on a long deserved vacation. He coached soccer for young children for 12 fun years, and was a die hard Montreal Habs fan alongside the Dallas Cowboys.
George's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm and Monday from 3:00pm-3:45pm. The Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, August 12th, 2019 at 4:00 pm. Private cremation will follow. *Jerseys or casual attire are welcome!
As expressions of sympathy, donations to big Brothers Big Sisters of Waterloo Region would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
