A strong, committed young man!

I met Francis in his last year of high school. I never had the chance to teach him but as the Sr. Football Head Coach, I was always happy to have a strong athletic kid want to try out football. Francis had never played, since he had spent much of his time focused on his primary sport hockey. But from day 1 he demonstrated incredible toughness and desire to bring his best to practice and game. He very quickly earned the respect of all the coaches and his teammates, and became a centre piece to our defense. We had a great season that year largely due to Francis' play at Middle linebacker, but the best part of football isn't just the game. This sport exposes a lot about peoples character, and how far they are willing to go for their teammates. "Family" is our cheer and that's what this team became throughout the season. Francis was and is a great representation of what it means to be a teammate.
