Condolence: I have just found out about the passing of "Barney the Magician". I have many a memories of my children being entertained a different venues and restaurants around KW when they were growing up. We could not afford expensive dinners or outings when they were little and many a time, Barney would show up and make the evening extra special for them. For my daughter's 16th birthday, he was the main act, entertaining a bunch of teenagers who thought this was the best time they have had ever (she is now 28 and we still talk about that birthday party and how Barney made it extra special). My three children remember him fondly and he will always have a special part on all our hearts. Please accept our deepest condolences. From the Schirm family

He brought joy, laughter, mystery, fun and smiles to the earth. His energy for spreading happiness is now born into you, Jared and Jacklyn. I remember trying to book your dad for my daughter's First Communion party, but he had to go to your birthday party that day!! We have known Barney for many years, and are so very sorry to have lost him. We will think of you often during this time, and we encourage you to stay close to each other. When you miss him, look in the mirror.
To Barney - thank you for your magic. Although your own magic couldn't make your illness disappear, your greatest magic was to make everyone you met smile. That's a pretty difficult thing to do. We will miss you very much and will raise a glass the next time we are at Fireside. Please give Merlin "the dog" a little pat for us!

Condolence: My condolences to Robert's family. We only knew Robert as "Barney" but he entertained my daughter, her friends and our family two years in a row for her birthday. We last saw him in September of last year....I have some beauftiful photos and we all have wonderful memories of his time with the children, subtle sarcastic jokes for the adults and patience with all of the children who wanted to pet his "dog."
