I know time has gone by, but I wanted to leave a note all the same. Sadly I did not hear of Eds passing. I met Ed through my Grandmother Jean A. at the Lodge Street building. I remember him as a man full of kindness! He always had a joke or a story to tell. He would sometime slip a toonie into my son Matthews hand (Who was then a small boy) and tell him to put it away for safe keeping :) They would chat about their shared love for hockey and Ed was always making my son laugh. I feel blessed to have met Ed and spent many hours chatting with him over the years myself while my Grandmother was still living. Truly a one of a kind and most memorable man with a heart fulled smile. May he be resting in peace. My condolences to his family.
