Elizabeth (Liese) (Isaak) Kruger was born in the Rosenbach, Ukraine (Russia) and came over to Canada with her parents when she was 3 years old. She remembers the voyage, and difficult years that followed. She lived a full life, being second oldest of a group of 10 children. The family finally settled in Oak River Manitoba. Elizabeth attended bible college in Winnipeg, and was top in her class. In 1949 she was engaged to Peter I Kruger , from Dalmeny, Saskatchewan. They were married on July 15,1950. The first of seven children started to arrive in 1952.
Her husband Peter passed away in February of 1988. Through all the trials and tears of all the years, Elizabeth was a caring and compassionate mother and wife. Always the selfless person, she put her children's welfare ahead of her own. In the last 10 years of her life she came to live in Ontario with her daughter Barb, and husband Jos.
She is survived by her children Patricia VanDyck, Julie Fast, Victor Kruger, David Kruger, Curtis Kruger, Barb Kruger, and Edna Kruger, as well as eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Til we meet again.
Memorial Services will be held in Osler Saskatchewan, on Dec. 1, 2017, at 11am. It is preferred to give donations to MCC Canada, a cause which she supported and believed in.
