Obituary for Victor R. Baker
Baker, Victor Reginald:
After a brief illness, Victor passed away peacefully with family by his side at Lisaard House, Cambridge, on Friday, June 21st, 2019 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Ruth (nee Murduck) for almost 51 years. Loving father of Colleen Leigh, Stephen Baker and Donna Abraham (Jacob). Much loved Poppa and Grandpa of Elisabeth, Jeremy, Matthew, and Rachael and great Poppa of Hayden, Nigel, Jade, and Noah. Dear brother of Margaret Peacock, and Anne Swinarton. Predeceased by his first wife Gladys Helen and brother David Baker. Victor will be remembered by his sisters-in-law and their families. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He spent over 20 years in South Africa as a missionary minister.
Victor's family will receive relatives and friends from 6 - 8 pm on Monday, June 24th, 2019 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, and from 10-10:45 am at First Baptist Church, 306 Erb St. W, Waterloo, on Tuesday, June 25, 2019 where a funeral service will follow at 11:00 am. Private cremation will take place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lisaard House would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
