Passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Twin Oaks of Maryhill at the age of 85.
Husband of Olga Fay. Father of Stephen (Connie), the late Brad and Kenneth (Judy). Grandfather of Nicholas, Lindsay (Ryan), Rayna (Jon), Bradley, Lucas, Katelyn and Matthew and great-grandfather of Cora. Brother of Joseph (Adele), Anna (the late Matt), George (Karen), Frank (Anne), Betty (Bart), William (Marlene), Helen (Tony) and Leonard (Carol). Survived by daughter-in-law Susan, brother in-law Joe Hewer and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers John (Annette) and Ben (Maxine) and his sister Mary.
Stephen's family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick Street, Kitchener), 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. Prayers and memorial mass will be held directly at St. Boniface R.C. Church (1354 Maryhill Rd. Maryhill), on Friday, June 24, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Interment at St. Boniface RC Cemetery, followed by a reception at the Community Centre.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
