Wastell, Robert "Bob" (Veteran WWII; 37 Year Employee - Burns Meats)
Passed away peacefully at The Village at University Gates on Sunday March 6, 2016 in his 94th year. Predeceased by his wife Elsie (1997). Loving father of Rick, John (Charlene) and Sandy (Barry Dent). Proud grandpa of Sonya (Tim), Kimberley (Jason), Rikki (David), Erin, Kyla (Ryan), Lindy (Aaron), Shannon (David), Rob (Niveen), Kristin (Matt), Martin and great grandfather of 7. Predeceased by his brother and 5 sisters. Bob enjoyed his church life with Glen Acres Baptist Church and was an active member of Waterloo Legion Branch 530. Special thanks to the caring and compassionate staff at the Village at University Gates.
Bob's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 and 7-9 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 and from 12-12:45 pm on Friday March 11, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Legion Service will be held at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 pm. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday at 1 pm. Interment Memory Gardens Cemetery. Reception to follow at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Kitchener-Waterloo Poppy Fund would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Visit www.henrywalser.com for Bob's memorial.
