Obituary

Kennedy, Paul

On Tuesday, September 1, 2020, Paul Kennedy, loving son and brother, passed away suddenly at the age of 54, in Kitchener, Ontario.  Paul will be sadly missed by his parents, Edward and Carmel Kennedy, and will be forever remembered as a mischievous but loving troublemaker to his sisters, Karen and Cheryl Kennedy and niece, Kara Lanza.

While there may be no buildings named after him or monuments in his name, what he did have was a robust group of friends that were always there for him, most dating back to childhood.  Paul will always be remembered for his sense of humour and kind heart.  Though he may have had his struggles, he was loved beyond words and his life has left a profound mark on us.

We will be having a small Catholic service on Wednesday, September 9th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 1 Fallons Lane in London, Ontario.  On Saturday, September 12th there will be a burial service at Parkview Cemetery at 355 University Avenue East, Waterloo at 1:30 p.m.  We will follow with details for a reception in the near future.

To our dear Paul, we hope you always "rock and roll all night and party every day".

I was so sad to hear of Paul’s passing. I too remember Paul from high school. The group of us spent many nights in Paul and Cheryl’s (and Muff’s) basement listening to music and having fun ! Paul had so many friends and I was honored to be one of them.
May he Rest Now In Peace.

I remember Paul from high school. I remember he was part of the "rocker" group. Although I didn't know him well, he seemed like a great person and it saddens me to think someone from "the old days" has left us. You always imagine, even when you don't really keep in touch, that everyone is fine. Back in the old days the world was a lot smaller and people had a bigger impact on your life. RIP Paul. My sincere condolences to his family.

I do not know where to begin. There is not enough room here to write all the memories I have of Paul.
I was pretty much a permanent fixture in the "Kennedy Household" from a young girl, teenager, to early adulthood.
Paul was an amazing person. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was kind. He was giving.
Everyone loved Paul.
He watched over Cheryl and I (sometimes needed)
So many good memories.
Rest In Peace Paul.
You will be missed.
My condolences to Carmel, Ed, Karen, Cheryl and Kara.
