Marlene Sylvia  Grubbe (Simpson)
Grubbe, Marlene Sylvia;

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marlene Sylvia Grubbe. After a long battle which she fought with grit and determination; Marlene finally lost her battle peacefully on Friday, June 7, 2013, in her 77th year. She is survived by her three boys and their families, Wayne and Janet, Rick and Barb and Jamie, her many step grandchildren and great grandchildren who she took so much pride in. She will be sadly missed by her faithful sidekick Pepper. Marlene is also survived by her brother Clifford Simpson and sister, Nancy McNight. Predeceased by her brother Robert Simpson and sister Elenor Dorscht.

Marlene was a genuine woman with an overflowing heart, whose generosity touched so many people. She always thought of others before herself, which was evident from her early beginning at Panel Veneer, Simpson Graphic Arts and during her years of service at the House of Friendship. Marlene`s dedication to her family and friends was everything. We will miss you Mom.

Marlene’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 pm – 4:45 pm on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519 – 749-8467. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 5pm followed by a reception at the funeral home.

Many thanks to the Grand River Cancer Unit, Nurses and Doctors of Grand Hospital Emergency Dept. for their compassionate care during our Mother`s passing.
