For mom

So hard to believe that almost a whole year has passed since we lost you. I can think of you now and smile and laugh instead of cry all the time, although I still do my share of crying. I miss you, our talks, our silly laughing about the craziest things and just having my mom to see and hear.

You fought for so long and so hard, that there is peace knowing that you are no longer struggling. That doesn't make it any less difficult to say goodbye. I have started to phone you so many times to tell you something that has happened or share something with you. It was just second nature to include you in my day and hear all about yours...sometimes multiple times a day.

I am so glad that you were the best mother I could have ever asked for.

I miss you and love you.
