Obituary for Kimberly Ann Dirkse (Klapwyk)

Kimberly Ann Dirkse (Klapwyk)
Dirkse, Kimberly Ann

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of her family on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the age of 46. Beloved wife of Jim for 15 years. Loving mother of Brittney, Sarah, Jessica and Kaitlyn. Dear daughter of Neil and Ria Klapwyk. Dear sister of Michelle Doll (Chris), Kevin Klapwyk (Amanda) and Ryan Klapwyk (Amy). Dear daughter-in-law of Ron and Anne Dirkse and sister-in-law of Renee and Mark Devries and Rhonda and Allan Kirkpatrick. Kim will be missed by many nieces and nephews.

Kim approached life with a "Go big or stay at home" attitude. She jumped into everything with enthusiasm and met everyone with a brilliant smile and left them with a lasting impression. Her ability to connect with people and build an immediate rapport was only part of her charm. She loved fully and without reservation. Kim's family was the centre of her world, a world that was wide and varied from policing to horseback riding to camping and most recently working at the Dolson pool. Everywhere Kim went she knew someone or was related to someone and she never met a stranger. We are all richer for knowing her and we will all miss her dynamic presence.
Cremation has taken place.
Kim's family will receive family and friends on Monday, September 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Maranatha Christian Reformed Church, 94 Elgin St. South, Cambridge. The memorial service will take place at the church on Tuesday, September 29th at 11:00 a.m.

Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Cambridge Christian School or the Canadian Cancer Society in Kim's name would be appreciated by the family (cards may be placed by calling the Henry Walser Funeral Home at 519-749-8467 and will be available at the church.)
