Mrs Farrish, Craig, and Kendra - I am so sorry to learn of your father’s death. I have spent the last week recalling many of my summer memories at Amberley - and can’t do that without thinking about our time together there. Your father taught me many skills which I have carried with me. I recall our time spent learning how to sail, drive a boat, fish (this was a big one - involving the catching of minnows, baiting a hook, unhooking the fish, and of course the eventual filleting of the fish off the end of the picnic table), and biking the back roads to Kincardine! I am very thankful for those amazing years and appreciate your Dad encouraging me to get outside and experience nature! So awesome!! As time has passed we have seen less and less of each other, and I am not really certain the last time I saw your father. He will live on in each of you and certainly as I recall the experiences and try to teach my children the same, he will not be far from my thoughts. So it is with great appreciation for your Dad that I write today. I am sorry to miss this very important day - a celebration of his life, but know I am thinking of you all. Sincerely, Marc Johnstone

I was saddened to hear of Ken’s passing. Just the other day Craig was talking to a high school friend reminiscing about their KCI days and their gym/football coach Ken. I have fond memories of our skating days and all the crazy things we did at the competitions. It was a lot of fun. Condolences to you and the family.

Dear Sandra, Craig, Kendra, Mike, Carole, and children. Brian and I have very fond memories of Ken over the years at Amberley Beach. He always greeted us with a smile and gave a helping hand to our young kids with various sport equipment or bicycle disasters. It was clear to see that he was a beloved teacher. And for us, just a great guy to chat about life's quirks and challenges. We've missed seeing him next door with you all. Deepest condolences on your loss.
