As I packed up Karen's possessions after her 5 year stay at Sunnyside, I had 3 staff members come in and pay their condolences. The physiotherapist, a PSW and a nurse expressed their sympathy. The PSW remarked that Karen loved "her man" and she was not afraid to let everyone know it. The nurse said that their's was a "special love story" and that he would miss both Karen and Glenn and he choked up as he said it. He loved to laugh at Karen's jokes and nicknames and looked forward to seeing her when he came on duty. The staff was good to Karen, particularly the night staff.
