Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family at St. Mary's Hospital on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at the age of 90.
Beloved husband of Doreen (nee Morgenroth) Houston for 67 years. Loving father of Donna Wile (Malcolm), Dan and David (Karin). Greatly loved grandpa to Christina "Chuck" Kemp, Dani Cudney (Robin), Michael (Gina), Jessie Percival (Chris) and Wes. Dear great-grandfather of Damien and Kayden Cudney
Dear brother of Peggy Shantz (the late Maurice). Will be missed by nieces, nephews and cousins.
In 1925 Jack was born in Kitchener. In 1944, he enlisted in the Navy and served on the HMCS Uganda. He was an accompanist for the Schneider Male Chorus and the Director of the Knox Presbyterian Church Choir for 47 years and was also a member of the Kiwanis Club. Jack retired in 1985 from J.M. Schneider after 42 years of dedicated service.
Jack's family will receive relatives and friends from 2-5 p.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. A memorial service will take place at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 29, 2015 followed by a reception in the Elizabeth Room of the church.

Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church or St. Mary's Hospital - Cardiac Care would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
