Condolence From: Waterloo Regional REACT
Condolence: To Lizzie and all who know and love Ian,
We are so sorry to hear of Ian's passing. We were so lucky to have Ian as a valuable member of the REACT team for 10 years (2009-2019). In that time, he readily shared his energy, support and caring for the community, whether that was at an early morning event, a late-night callout, or flipping burgers at a REACT family picnic. We proudly support the work of Heart and Stroke foundation to help others as a tribute to Ian.

Condolence From: PAUL HUSKINS
Condolence: I remember Ian had a picture of himself in full battle gear on horse back in full charge slicing a watermelon in two with a sabre and I thought to myself that he must be one of the toughest men on earth. I will always remember him that way. Our deepest condolences to the family from all the guys at Industrial Waterblast Services.

Condolence: Lizzie I am so sorry once again on your dad's passing. He will be missed and not forgotten or
disappear from our hearts and memories. Ian was
a good person and would help anyone at a drop of
a hat. Laughs and more laughs. Dialects he knew.
Smart and knew alot of things. A bagpiper, drummer, collector of many things,
millwright, friend, but most of all your dad sweetheart.
I will always be there and here for you the best I can.
Dean and I have lost a dear and close friend but
he is with the Lord and free now and we are left
here to mourn the loss. Remember Jesus mourns
with those who mourn and he defends the fatherless. Enjoy the butterflies that will come to
say hello from Ian when you are sad. bye for now
love Aunt Maggie and Dean

Condolence: Ian helped me with a huge Reno project and still to this day I can hear his instructions as I do my own repairs around my home. Do it right the first time and everything will line up in the end.

You were taken to soon my friend. I wasn’t done knowing you Zimmerman! I love and thank you for your generous friendship xoxoxo

Condolence From: Edward Dubas
Condolence: I would like to offer my sincere condolences to Ian’s family. Ian was a valued member of the Colour Guard in the Ceremonial Band of the Waterloo Regional Police Service. It was always my pleasure to march with Ian during parades and other band events. I enjoyed our spirited conversations on topics pertinent to “our generation”. Once again, my deepest sympathy to his friends and family. Ed Dubas
