Born in Unterlag, Gottschee, Emilie passed away peacefully at Lisaard House in Cambridge on Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the age of 78. Beloved wife of the late Josef. Loving mother of Erika and Caroline. Proud Oma of J.J. (Krystal), Erik and Jesse (Mercedes) Kroisenbrunner, and Michaela and Tyler Rolls. Daughter of the late Stefan and Amalia Schager. Dear sister of Franz (Magdalena), Josef (Ingeborg) Schager, Stefanie Puljak (late Karl), and the late Georg (Rosa), Amalia and Johann Schager. Dear sister-in-law to Josefine (late Rudolph) Matzelle, Edith (late Gerhard) Kruger, Helma (Karl) Herbst and Walter (Edith) Eppich. Dear aunt and great-aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Emilie's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2015 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish Prayers 8:30 p.m. Sunday. Prayers will also be offered at the funeral home on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Dr. for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment Woodland Cemetery. Reception to follow in the Parish Life Centre. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Lisaard House or the Arthritis Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
