Obituary for Elizabeth Marie Foote (Lehmann)

Elizabeth Marie Foote (Lehmann)
FOOTE, Elizabeth Marie (Betty)
February 14, 1945 ?? September 15, 2015
With grace and dignity on a beautiful morning, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at St Mary?s Hospital, Kitchener, Elizabeth Marie Foote (Betty) nee Lehmann was reunited with her son Michael (April 25, 2000). Dearest mother and best friend of her daughter, Susan Ainsworth, beloved grandmother of Kaylee and Sarah Ainsworth, the cherished bright lights in her life, all of Kitchener and her grandson, Gabriel Morgan of B.C.
Lovingly remembered by her mother Rose Lehmann. Family was always important to Betty, sharing a loving relationship with all of her siblings throughout her life; her brothers Doug (Tina), David (Jane), Dan (Laurie) and sisters Pat Lackenbauer (John), Peggy Lehmann, and Ann Snider (Dave). Also fondly remembered by Vernon (Betty) and Derek Foote. Dearly loved aunt to Steven, Sonia, Jason, Lori, Ben, Phil, Paul, Abby, Ashley, Brian, Donna, Darren, Duane, and Denise and great aunt to 23. Predeceased by her father, Frank Lehmann (1985) and her sister Theresa Lehmann.
Betty is also survived by her former husband of 32 years, Glen Foote.
Her dedication and ever-present smile will be missed by many wonderful coworkers at Simpson Screen Print and Lithography in Bloomingdale, Ontario, where she enjoyed working as an administrative assistant for more than 20 years.
An accomplished artist, she was proficient in calligraphy, watercolours, oil painting, and taught many students at her art studio, Artistic Reflections. Her landscapes and florals are appreciated in private collections in Canada, United States, Hawaii, England, Germany and New Zealand. Betty was musical, played the organ, piano and accordion, and was a member of a band in her teenage years.

Born on Valentine?s Day, Betty loved the symbolism of hearts. Her generosity, compassionate and fun-loving ways, the essence of which Betty was, and the indelible mark she made on the many lives she touched over a long and rich life, ensure our memories of our time with her will remain in our hearts forever.

Betty's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St, Kitchener 519-749-8467. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home at 8:50 am on Saturday, September 19, 2015 followed by procession to Blessed Sacrament R.C. Church, 305 Laurentian Dr., Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 9:30 am.
A reception will take place in the church hall following the funeral mass. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy donations to Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Foundation, KW Humane Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
