The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Charles Schuett can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

I remember ...

Carl was the first choir member I met St. Anne's. I was rushing up the loft stairs to see this amazing group of singers in the hopes of joining and here was Carl, with his famous smile, standing at the top of the stairs with a welcoming smile.

Over the next few years, I received a lot of smiles as Carl would sit next to me up in the choir loft -- after all, I had to protect his choir book from Helen's reach (Helen had a habit of using any choir book she found and sometimes had three or four on the go).I guess she liked Carl's book the best.

I last saw Carl at Peter Held's funeral when he joined the choir at the reception. I got to see him smile at me a few more times that day and am grateful for that chance.

Now Carl is smiling at God!
