AUGER, Calvin Loraine (Lorrie):
Peacefully after a courageous battle on Friday, September 24, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Shantz) for 55 years. Loved father of Gary (Sheryl) of Maryhill, Brian (Sharon Collier), Sharon (Scott) Spinelli, Debbie Auger (Bill Tucker). Cherished grandfather of Jason Auger, Victoria and Vince Spinelli.
Dear brother of Clare Sr., and Earl (Joan). Lorrie will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews and their families.
Lorrie is the son of the late Ida (nee: Downing) and Harry Auger and brother of the late Vernon Auger and also predeceased by his in-laws, Mabel and Ward Shantz.
Lorrie retired from Weston’s Bakeries in 1994 after 42 years of service.
Lorrie’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Monday, September 27, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home. Cremation to follow with interment at Wilmot Centre.
