January 19, 1937- August 24, 2016
Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, at St. Mary's Hospital at the age 79.
Beloved husband of Eddy (born Tremblay) for 57 years. Loving father of Elizabeth Purcell (Dan), Louise Bouchard, Lyne Kok (Paul) and Steve Bouchard. Cherished grand-papa of Robbie, Vanessa, Renée, Ciara and Alexis. Dear brother of the late Maurice & Gaby, the late Paul-Aimé (Lorraine Michaud) the late Lucien (Rolande), the late Gracia & Eric Jacques, the late Ambroise (Geraldine Lavoie), the late Florence & Rolland Cantara, the late Denise & Paul Proulx, Mona (the late Aimé Girouard), Suzanne (Charles Larocque) and Elyse (the late Leo Bak). Survived by many nieces and nephews. Also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law; Claudette (the late Marcel Harvey ) , Diane (Bernard Bilodeau), Michel (Louise Roussel), the late Mario (Denise Gagnon), Louise (Jean-Claude Lavoie ), Jean (Marlene Tremblay), the late Lola (Magella Dion), Bernard (Guylaine Tremblay), Carolle (Steve Morissette), Pierre (Elaine Hudon), Christine (Harold Tremblay, Linda (Denis Lamoureux).
André was an employee of Mutual Life/Clarica/Sun Life for over 30 years. He was an avid golfer and was a member of Golf North.
André's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467, on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A memorial liturgy will be held in the chapel of the funeral home, on Monday, August 29, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the funeral home. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the St. Mary's Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
