Kropf, Albert (Ab):
Passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at Algonquin Grace Hospice, Huntsville at the age of 88.
Beloved husband of the late Ruth (nee Hoffmeyer) (2009). Loving father of David (Karen) Kropf, Kristine (Allan) Meyer and Lorilee Darwen. Cherished grandfather of Joshua Darwen. He will be fondly remembered by his dear friend Gloria Moss. Brother of Robert, Wayne (Gail) and Diane Hause and brother-in-law of Gloria Kropf and Ken Gawthorne.
Predeceased by his grandson Michael Darwen, parents, George and Sarah Kropf, siblings Esther Gawthorne, George Kropf, Lawrence Kropf, Gladys Klie and Arthur Kropf and brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack Hause, Harry Klie, Joan Kropf, Anne Kropf, and June Kropf.
He was a faithful member of St. Matthews Lutheran Church, Kitchener and St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Magnetawan. Ab volunteered for many years at Freeport Hospital, where he was the President of Volunteers in 2002. He retired February 1992 from Westons Bakery.
Ab's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 7-9 p.m . The Funeral Service will be held at St. Matthews Lutheran Church, 54 Benton St. Kitchener, Ontario N2G 3H2 on Saturday, June 27, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Interment Williamsburg cemetery.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Algonquin Grace Hospice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
