Suddenly at the Grand River Hospital on Saturday, August 1, 2009 at the age of 55 years. Craig Hynd of Waterloo, loving husband of Allison (nee: Johnstone). Devoted father of Amy Hynd her husband Craig, Andrew Hynd and his wife Ashley, and James Hynd. Adored grandfather of Autumn Marie Hynd. Loving son of Dorothy and John Hynd, beloved brother of Cheryl Morsek and her husband Robert, Jamie Hynd and his wife Susan, Jonathan Hynd and Anne Hynd and loving friend Colin. Son-in-law of the late Jean and Robert Johnstone, brother-in-law to Elaine Johnstone, Robert Johnstone and his wife Cindy, Michelle Johnstone and Christine Connolly and her husband Bryan. Craig will be fondly remembered by his many cherished nieces and nephews.

Craig was an Environmental Officer and long time employee of the Waterloo Region District School Board and was a dedicated volunteer with the KW Chamber of Commerce. He was a charter member of Stanley Park Baptist Church.

Craig’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. on Wednesday, August, 5, 2009 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A celebration of Craig’s life will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 6, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy, remembrances to the Waterloo Education Foundation would be appreciated (cards available at the funeral home).
