Passed away surrounded by her children on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at K-W Health Centre of Grand River Hospital at the age of 93.
Beloved wife of the late Edgar (1976). Loving mother of Sharyn Klaehn, Nancy Resch (Richard), Bob Harnack (Bonnie), Brian Harnack (Mary Ellen), Debbie Harnack (Michael Walloschek) and Barry Harnack (Mark Leighton). Loving grandmother of Jeff (Aly), Kim (Grant), Jennifer (Rob), Rebecca (Alec), Melanie (Frank), Tim (Christina), Krissy (Dave) and Joe (Rachelle). Great-grandmother of 11. Survived by her brother Harold Bitschy and sisters-in-law Kathleen Bitschy and Irene Bitschy.
Predeceased by her daughter Shirley Russo and sons-in-law Frank Russo and Louie Klaehn, special friend Jerry Hergott and brothers Eddy, Bill and John and sisters Emma Frank, Minnie Spitzig and Marie Karges.
Mabel was part of the Avon Presidents Club. She enjoyed playing Bridge at the Waterloo Seniors Centre, Pinochle and Solo. She loved gardening, travel and holidays at the cottage in Haliburton; car rides in the country and ice cream cones shared with Saragh.
Mabel’s family will receive relatives and friends on Monday, October 29, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8:30 pm on Monday evening. Prayers will be offered in the funeral home on Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at 10:20 am followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Drive, Kitchener for a Funeral Mass at 11 am.

Reception to follow in the Parish Life Centre after which interment will take place at St. Boniface Cemetery, Maryhill.
As expressions of sympathy donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Waterloo Regional Lung Association would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
