Ungar, Rose (nee Werner)
Passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late George (1993). Loving mother of Janie and Dave Olheiser and Linda and Bruce Frank. Proud Oma of Scottie (Chantelle), Rachel (Mark), Jessica and Steffie. Rose was anxiously awaiting to meet her first great-grandchild Eva, due in August. Survived by her brother Mike Werner (Alma) and sisters-in-law Katie Werner and Katie Lowrick. Predeceased by her parents John and Rosina Werner, brothers John and George Werner (Susan), brother-in-law Herbert Lowrick and sister-in-law Rosie Herbst (Gerhard). Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Rose was a member of the Transylvania Club and St. Peter's Lutheran Church. Her kindness and love for animals was apparent to anyone who knew her. Any animal in need found a safe home with Rose. She was a gentle, kind person that had a warm smile for anyone. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Rose's family will receive relatives and friends from 6-9 p.m on Thursday, July 12, 2018 and from 12:30-1:15 p.m. on Friday, July 13, 2018 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow. Private interment at Woodland Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Hospital Foundation - Cancer Centre or the animal related charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
