Witzke, Horst A.:
Passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness with his loving wife, Annette, by his side on Friday, July 27, 2018 at Forest Heights Long Term Care at the age of 85. Much loved husband of Annette for 61 years. Loving father of John (Shelly), Ruth (Peter), and Ellie (Leo). Beloved Opa to Julie (Nick), Kristoffer, Rachael (Steve, great-grandson Cullen), Jessica, Benjamin, Joshua, and Kristina. Survived by his oldest brother Gerhard Witzke, and sisters-in-law Elli and Edith. Predeceased by his brother Guenther, Walter, and sister Brigitte (Erwin). He will be fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, close friends and faith community.
Horst's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. - 10:45 a.m. with the Funeral Service to be held in the Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Pastor Vidya Narimalla. Interment will be at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Mennonite Central Committee (MCC) would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
