A favourite client

Andrew always came into our barbershop to get his hair cut. He always came in with such a zest for life. He was always chatting about his love of music and we talked extensively  about harmony and performing. Sometimes he would even  hum a tune for me. When he told us about his cancer ,his optimism was unreal. Nothing seemed to get him down. The last time I saw him, he asked me to straight razor his head . He pulled on his hair and showed me how it came out. When I started to tear up he hugged me and said "don't worry, I will be O.K. I have all that I want." He took a before and an after picture with a big smile. He made such an impact on all of us. It is so sad when the good ones leave us. We will miss him dearly.
