Weismiller, Leita May (nee Swyers)
Passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at the age of 84. Loving mother of Anne McDivitt (Howard Winston), Joan Brent (Ron), Lynn Mercer (Rick), Lana Weismiller (Greg Donnell) and Mary Saunders (Dave). Proud "Grandmom" of Derek (Alicia), Hayley (Geoff), Laura (Jonathan), Bradley (Anna), Amy, Lindsay, Jenna, Krystal (Nick), Tyler (Jill), Cole and Kyle. "Great Grandmom" of Jack, Olive, Ryan, Joseph, Will, Maddox and Mason. Greatly missed by her longtime special friend Otto Bockelkamp and "scrabble-mate" Pat Murthick. Daughter of the late Eva and John Swyers. Dear sister of the late Cyril and Lovelette. Survived by her sister-in-law Dot. Fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and their families.
Leita's family will receive relatives and friends from 12-12:45 p.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Leita's Life will be held in the Chapel on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 1 p.m. Reception to follow Cremation taken place. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home). Many thanks to the PSWs and nursing staff who cared for our mom. Special thanks to Yani and Julio for going above and beyond.
