The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Maria Ibrahim can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Friends forever

I have such wonderful memories of our neighbours on Victoria St S. Late nights playing hide and go seek by the street light until we heard Mama Ibrahim shout "Bebaaaah!" and we all went in. I remember that Greek lady usually singing a Greek song at the top of her voice and shouting....no she wasn't shouting ...she just said what she meant and always meant what she said. I figured it out when I spotted the twinkle in her eye and a little smile and she offered me one of those S cookies or a honey cookie. I loved the bright vivid colored zinnias she would plant along her vegetable garden and now I plant zinnias on the border of my garden.

Then we both moved away. The time together was less but more great memories of lamb at Easter at the farm and visits under the grape arbor in Stanley Park.

Most recently a sweet reunion at Lucy's and at Mike's and as usual I was feed great food and my honey cookies with Greek coffee. Even then that feisty Greek lady said what she meant and meant what she said.I will miss her.

My deepest sorrow and sympathy to you Georgia,Gus, and Mike as well as family and friends. Let's remember those precious memories and smile. I believe Maria will be smiling too.
