Obituary for Lore Schoel (Regehr)

Lore Schoel (Regehr)
Schoel, Lore:
Passed away on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Trinity Village at the age of 93. Born May 10, 1923 in Danzig, West Preussen.
Beloved wife of Hans Schoel, married for 64 years. Loving mother of Willi (Donna), Gary (Lorraine), Eva (Lorne) and John (Dina). Dear sister of Eva Marie Kettler (deceased) and Anneliese Franzen both of Germany. Special 'Omi' to grandchildren Kyle, Meike, Jenna, Liam, Pierce, Christina and Jesse. Great-Grandma to Robyn and Trudie. Also known as 'Omi' to Jenny, Dave, Kendra, Jake, Jason, Sue, Tanner and Tia. Lore had a beautiful endearing love for her family and her friends and was very proud to be our Mom. Her love of baking, cooking, gardening, animals and singing were a constant in her daily life. She had a love of nature that never left her, enjoying the birds and squirrels outside her windows was part of who she was. Lore overcame great hardships early in her life, but faced each challenge with valor. She was a strong, brave and determined woman with an iron will. Her days were full of love and adventure. She was a member of the Women's Institute both English and German and stayed strong to her beliefs throughout her life. Lore's gift of story telling will never be forgotten. She will be very sadly missed.
Lore's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday, March 31, 2017 from 12 p.m. - 1:15 p.m. A celebration of her life will follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
