The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Duane Boles can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

I met Duane briefly during a class at Laurier this summer. The topic of the class was relationships, and, being that we happened to sit beside each other, we ended up learning and sharing somewhat about the relationships in each of our lives that mattered deeply to us. Duane left a lasting impression on me in a number of ways. Firstly, I was struck and moved by how much he loved and cared for his family. Secondly, despite what he was going through with his own health, he continued to be so compassionate, kind, and understanding when listening to the challenges faced by someone else. I’m very grateful to have met Duane and I send my heartfelt condolences to his family.
