Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at the age of 86, at Winston Park Nursing Home.

Harold is survived by his loving wife Ruth (nee Kahl), sons Paul (Brenda) and Rick, and daughter Heather.
Grandchildren Daniel and Rebecca, sisters Bernice Schmidt, Mildred Witt and Marie Gabel (John), sister-in-law Rita (Bob) Schenk and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by brothers Ted and Herb and sister Helen.
Harold was born in Pembroke, ON to the late Rev. Theodore and Anna Luft.

Harold was a long time employee at J.M. Schneiders Ltd. for over 45 years.
He was a devoted member and active volunteer at Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Harold's family will receive relatives and friends from 2pm-5pm on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A Memorial Service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church (322 East Ave., Kitchener) on Monday, May 12, 2014 at 11am. Reception to follow at church. Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held at Memory Gardens at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Lutheran World Relief or the Parkinson's Society would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
