Passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 22nd, 2013 at the Hamilton General Hospital at the age of 61. Loving husband of Maria Da Silva (nee Cardoso). Loved father of David (Cherish) and Robert (Jennifer). Beloved son of Maria de Amorim Leal and the late Manuel Antonio Da Silva. Proud Vovo of Tristan, Isabelle, Elijah, Emma and Ethan. Dear brother of Antonio, Maria, Emilia, Christina, Candida and Lurdes. Jose will be greatly missed by his brothers in law and sisters in law and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jose's family will receive relatives and friends at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467 on Friday from 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 pm with parish prayers at 8:30 pm. Prayers will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 9:30 am followed by a procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Drive, Kitchener for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Interment in Williamsburg Cemetery followed by a reception at St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church (Parish Life Centre). As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Hamilton Health Sciences Foundation - Neuro Sciences would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
