Passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love of family on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Chartwell Westmount Long Term Care at the age of 80.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Rettinger) for 58 years.
Loving father of Jeannette Ende (Rick), Diana Villemaire (Tom), Nancy Fulton (Ted) and Rose Noonan (Ron). Dear grandpa to Michelle and Christopher; Scott and Laura; Gregory, Katie and Andrew; Jamie and Becky. Great-grandpa to Hayden.
Dear brother of Marg, Josephine, Dorothy, Audrey, Sister Norma and Clayton. Predeceased by parents Rose and Serphine Schmidt and siblings Anna, Alfred, Melvin, Gerald and Marie.

Allan retired from Uniroyal Goodrich after many years of service. During retirement Allan enjoyed woodworking, furniture refinishing and spending time with the grandchildren.

Allan's family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, November 23, 2017 from 6-9 p.m. at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St., Kitchener 519-749-8467. Parish prayers 8:30 p.m. on Thursday evening. Visitation will also continue from 9-10:50 a.m. on Friday, November 24, 2017 at the funeral home followed by procession to St. Anthony Daniel R.C. Church, 29 Midland Drive, for a Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m.

A reception will take place after the funeral mass followed by interment at Parkview Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario or the Alzheimer Society of Waterloo Wellington would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).

A sincere thank you to Allan's Westmount family for all their care and compassion over the last 3 years.
